Nevermind, it seems the compatibility mode was causing this, I turned it off and it's fixed now. great game! :D

Hmm, didn't make it far before the next problem...

In the library when I'm back in the entrance hall and a certain person shows up and does certain things... ;) I'm supposed to run away, probably into the portal at the top, but the entrance is blocked, the mage seemingly fails to open it as he keeps running against it too... is that a bug with the game or what's wrong? Any way around it?
