Hello.

Recently my computer has been hanging heaps. I found out that Hamachi was doing it somehow. Eventually it stopped and Hamachi refused to open. It was normal for a few days. Then I needed to use Hamachi again, so I reinstalled it. The hanging started. I also noticed that it hanged even while Hamachi wasn't open. I uninstalled Hamachi and rebooted and now it's back to normal. Oh, and it only hangs when I open a program or I click or taskbar/tray. Halp!

Oh, and it never used to do this until recently.

When it decided to stop working nothing at all happened when I clicked on it. No activity in Task Manager at all. Just displayed the "waiting" cursor for like 0.1 seconds. I don't know what sort of logs you are talking about.

Depending on what you're trying to do, I found TightVNC to be a better program all around.

go to start, run then type ' eventvwr.msc ' , you will need to check the system and application logs for any errors at the same time it froze up.

Have you got a firewall? If yes did you try to close it?

jg007 26-06-2007 04:09 PM

if you doubleclick on the events it will give some more information on the error, most of the time they are not immportant but it can sometimes indicate a problem. either post a few here or google them for more information

if you wan't you can right click on the event log , ie: application or system and email them to me

try setting your hamachi ip manually, that helped me when my hamachi hanged

network connections in the control panel->properties of the hamachi network adapter-> scroll down to internet protocol and click properties
use 255.0.0.0 as submask
