I have a friend who wants to play an old game from school, you know in the ages of Oregon Trail and all that old stuff. Best I can describe it is as follows;

The game takes place in the cross section of a river, where I believe you controlled a fish... You would eat algae or smaller fish and avoid birds above water. Um, really I can't give you too much to work with, but does it ring any bells at all?

Thanks,

I'd say Evolution, but it's for the Snes and from 1993. Graphics're definitely not comparable to Oregon Trail. 16B colors vs. 4 colors... That's the closest I can get from your description, I'm afraid.

Odell Down Under maybe?

I looked this up because I also remembered a game like it, but judging from the screenshots, that isn't it. There does seem to be an different version for Mac's called Odell Lake, and there's a disk image for it here (under MECC A191), but it does me no good. =\

I found this info on other forums where basically the same post was made, did you already find this out? =P
