Is that from the movie?

I can't wait to see this. Should be really good. I'd like to see Yoda whip out his Lightsabre one more time. LOL

What this? A six winged X-wing. I suppose it won't be called an X-wing then.

yeah, leaked from e3

That's not an X-wing or a Z-wing relative, it looks more like the cockpick of a speeder on which they attached two big wings. The 4 other wings, I guess, move up when you get on attack mode a la X-Wing.

Iron_Scarecrow 02-01-2005 12:57 PM

And also X-wings have 4 jet things at the back. They have 2. It's probably the early model of the X-wing, which they then improved for the last 3 movies.

But anyway is a release date set for the movie?

Has anyone else noticed how the Clone Army has an Australian accent and the Empire's Army has a British accent?

I find it quite interesting personally.

the trailer i have says the release date is may 19th this year

Well maybe there is a reason behind why this is so. Some small little joke that is significant to George Lucas, or something. I don't know, I was just wondering why it was so.

Wrong, the early model of the X-Wing was the Z-Wing, which was exactly the same thing as the X-Wing for the exception of obviously way worse technology in armement and shielding as well as engine power (due to the fact it been manifactured way earlier), and the Z-Wing had only 2 standard wings. It's the X-Wing which was the first to use those famous split wings which oppened for attack.

Unless my memory is playing tricks against me, the Rebels reworked the old Z-Wings models to create the X-Wing. It soon became the early trademark of the Alliance.

Did you read the books or something?

Anyway I looked up a picture of this Z wing. Got this.

I always thought they were called A wings.

But if the X wings were the first to use the split wings for attack mode why are those in the movie using the split wings? and they are deffinently not X wings.
