I would really love to have a huge "Who's the best player" competition, but I dont know how.

Any idea's?

Icewolf 07-12-2006 09:56 AM

I think this could end up in a huge photoshopping orgy of highscore lists with everybody adding several zeros to his or her highscroe!!! LOL

No, serious:
Maybe posting highscores? We'd need an online database that is only accessable by few people. :sneaky:

Then again this is huge effort for a simple little game...

MMORPG, and we all start at the same time? Good Luck The Chosen :D

TheChosen 07-12-2006 11:16 AM

Oh gee! A good idea! Lets all go play Everquest! He who kills 50 squirrels, will be crowded as King Player!

(This is pure sarcasm)

Sarcasm noted, dated and filed away for future referral ;)

Try to find a game everyone has, or anyone can get, such as FEAR Combat, or Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, set up a private server, then let anyone who wants to play join and play a series of games, starting with things such as Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, etc (team stuff) then filter down the good players and let them engage in Deathmatch, the winner is the best.

Simple and easy.

I'll take part! Although I'll probably lose and embarass myself, but hey ^_^

As long as it's a game I have, or can get easily.

This will end up knowing who is good at one game from a small community with different hardware and connections. Project failed.

Is that not the whole point though?

If that was a problem nobody would ever play online games.

Glance back to see the thread's name: "best gamer". Doesn't say that someone is reffering to one game. It just indicates that there should be a person with all the wins in all the games. P.S. About the problem - everyone who plays online can just say that "it lagged" when they lose to an opponent, thus leaving you who's 20000 kilometres away to decide if it's true or false. Only way to decide at a winner on a competition like this is for everyone to love the same game and play via LAN. Enough said.
