Promoting Mortal Kombat 9
 

First of all, has anyone heard of the new Mortal Kombat game that's supposed to be released early next year? If you haven't, learn about it here:

Since this game is getting everyone interested in Mortal Kombat again, and especially since Netherrealm Studios is considering making the game for PC, we should promote the game in some way.

I need some ideas. Now the first thing that comes to mind (I'm NOT being pushy or impatient here; this is just a suggestion for promotion) is get MK3 and MK Trilogy, plus the new archives of MKI and MKII, on the site sooner. That way, people reading the news who like to go to this site can try out the games that MK9 is gonna be majorly based on.

If you have any other ideas, like hunting down the Mortal Kombat comic books and other stuff, post them in this thread. I've already got the official soundtracks of MK 1-4 ready for Abandonia Frequency, but maybe some more music (and NOT just more versions of that cheesy techno mix).

Well I just found the official Mortal Kombat I and II Collector's Edition comic books that were written by MK co-creator John Tobias. They were from a Czechoslovakian site and aren't the best of quality, but they'll do for now. I'll find better scans later on...

Unfortunately, game comics are not wanted on the site. I know this, cos I was given the all-clear to upload some comics, then afterwards, I was told they wouldn't be used.

But let's try to think of other ways to promote MK9...

I just saw the front page saying that Super Mario Bros. is 25 years old today. Although I do think SMB is a fun game, to me this is a more meangingful day for Mortal Kombat.

THIS IS MORTAL MONDAY!!
17 years ago on this day, the original Mortal Kombat was released for all major home systems at the same time. It was the biggest video game release date of its time, so I believe that should be mentioned on the front page as well.
