Was it used on submarines too?

Damnit, i just made another useless post!

I'm happy that you're happy with your russian captains cap.

If you feel a thread will be useless...don't hesitate to NOT post it though ;)

But since I don't think this thread is completely useless, cause it actually has a somewhat interesting subject (your cap), it can stay.

So on topic:

Wow, what a cool hat

Though it seems to be missing its gold braid it appears to be Soviet naval officers parade visor hat, white, Circa 1970-1991.

The white hat was the parade version the black hat was the service hat for Navy officers.

Point proven :ok:

[STORY]
Three weeks ago, me and some friends took a tour to Budapest, to the Museum of Warfare. It was quite a show for us game freaks, seeing weapons and equipment we only did see in games ^_^ like we were walking in Call of Duty LOL
After the exhibit, we took a look in the shop at the entrance. And as gregor said, you can buy russian and hungarian military stuff(not weapons though :( ) for a very reasonable price, almost free. Some of us bought asome badges of rank and one of my friends bought a russian flack-jacket. (if you are smart and cunning enough, you can get whatever russian equipment you want from the market though :sneaky: ) Well that was quite an experience actually seeing those things live, not just on the screen. Like artilery cannons, guns, tanks, sidearms, models of bigger battles(even video presentations)...
That was awesome :D
[/STORY]

Maybe if I go to Budapest I can get something for any of you?

I'm no communist but I don't like your verve for military stuff.
I think it's worrisome....
