GGPO - Fighting Games Online
 

If you're big into competitive fighting games you should go to http://ggpo.net/blog/ and get their GGPO program. I'm entering a Street Fighter 3 tournament, and so I was looking for an easy way to practice against people, and found this. It let's you play about a dozen or so popular arcade fighting games online with less lag than I've experienced with some Xbox Live fighting games and arcade emulator stuff like Kaillera.

There's usually tons of people on there at any given time so there's always somebody to practice with, which is always better than just finding that one cheap tactic that the computer doesn't know how to deal with.

So yeah, I'm usually in the SF3 room if anyone wants to test my might. My name on there is same ol' Zafo999.

Quick update. You can also go to 2dfighter.com as an alternative to GGPO. 2dfighter.com requires no client to download, and is P2P. Also, it works with a lot more games, some that aren't even fighting games like Metal Slug and a personal NEO*GEO favorite "Windjammers".
