Tom and Jerry was made by Hanna & Barbera (for MGM), together with cartoons like Droopy Dog & Screwy Squirel

Oh I completely forgot to mention before - I loved the Pink Panther cartoons (but I won't go back to edit the list - I was a real cartoon freek back in the 80s).
