There was once a time when the Adventure games were on top and most of them were from Lucasarts.
As the years go on and I get older I see less and less of these great games going out there.

The best thing about these games were the storylines. Many hours of my childhood were spent on Indiana Jones (just to mention one form Lucas), Broken Sword, Discworld, etc

The last great one I played was the last Broken Sword game, I waited ages and ages for that to come out and when it did I loved every minute of it.

I know there are many people out there with memorys and current interests in this dwindling genre, I just don't know any of them so if you've got anything to say about them please post here.

Just finished Maniac Mansion, and started playing through Day Of The Tentacle actually.
I've been a big fan of the Monkey Island games since I was about 8, but due to money constraints at the time I never had a chance to play a lot of the other great adventure games around.

Still playing all 3 the discworld games.... But then again I'm a huge Discworld fan. The only point and click adventure I really want to play again is Toonstruck ( the full cd version that is). but nobody seems to be selling it anymore..

Yeah the Monkey Island games were one of my fav's.
Haven't got round to playing the forth one though. My love for them started around the same age.

Manic Mansions was good but I liked Day of the Tenticle better.

You should try Fate of Atlantis if you haven't already, love it.

I think I remember playing Toonstruck, it came in a strange big red box. Didn't fancy it though - played the start and then took it back and got "The Dig" instead. Ever try that?

I love discworld too, think the second one is the best.

No offense but try using the EDIT button insted of multiple posts, this keeps the forum a bit cleaner..

And indeed the 2nd discworld game is the best

Nah the first one had better humor and less Monty Python-ripoff scenes, but DW2 was fun anyway :)

In adittion of what has been said above I would recommend:
- The Legend of Kyrandia (all 3 of them are a good way to kill time, and pretty graphics as well)
- Goblins, Gobliins and Gobliiins (these are really hard at some points (but then again you can always use a walkthrough), but the humor is great :) )

The Goblin games were great, Ingenius puzzles that were a bit hard at times, and yeah the walkthrough was used a lot. Storylines were pants though.

Played the first 2 Legend of Kyrandia games not so long ago but lost interest in them pretty quickly. Just got bored of them plus I'll just bought Half-Life 2 :rifle:

On a seperate note I have to mention Indiana Jones and the Last Crucade.
I played it when I was a Kid and couldn't get anywhere in it then I tried again a couple of years back and I was amazed with it. There were different options and ways to do things like if you picked up some book in the library then you could give it to the radio guy in the castle and make life a whole lot easier. Little details like that make a good adventure game, too many of them can be linear and one way to do one thing .
