SlowCoder - Games to Give

I've got a number of games that I've checked against the oldwarez list, and that I believe are abandonware. How do I go about getting them to Abandonia?

Post a list here first, please. The Oldwarez List hasn't been exactly most up to date lately.

After the list is verified, I'll send you information on how to access our FTP server to upload the files.

Ok, here goes. Remember that I've kept an archive of games since I was a kid in the 80's. Many of these games are just small peanuts, while some of the others are bigger. I compared my archive to your oldwarez. Either these games are listed as Abandonware, Freeware, or not listed at all.

- Artillery Combat - Publisher & Year? From SlowCoder: 1988, written by Rad Delaroderie. Couldn't find info on the net.
- Connect 4 (need info for this, publisher developer, year) From SlowCoder: "Copyright 1984 Brute Force Software". "Title: Captain Cook's Challenge". No info on the net. Uploaded

- Doom 2D Fan-made freeware => suitable for AR, but not AB http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/doom-2d/screenshots
- Discworld II (Sold at Amazon)
- Thexder 2 Sold: Amazon
- Ms. Pac Man http://www.mobygames.com/game/pc-booter/ms-pac-man Still sold into collections at Amazon.
- Battle Zone This version is a 1987 vintage, not the protected 1999 one you've got in your catalog. by Atari. Sold into collections at CDAccess I don't think this one is. It looks similar, but not the same, as the Atari one. Here it is: http://www.calshop.biz/abandonware/J...Zone.1987.html The 1983 version, PC-booter: http://www.mobygames.com/game/pc-booter/battlezone_ Which is almost certainly the one sold in the Atari collection on CD Access.
- Mahjongg (Nels Anderson (Arcanum Software http://www.flightsim.com/arcanum). Temporarily retracting this from the list to determine abandonware status from Mr. Anderson.)
- Mahjongg - Dragon's Bane (Nels Anderson (Arcanum Software http://www.flightsim.com/arcanum). Temporarily retracting this from the list to determine abandonware status from Mr. Anderson.)
- Solitile - From SlowCoder: http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/download/game/153 Still sold => http://www.kaser.com/solitile.html

They sell the games through Steam.

1,4 and Dreams are freeware, right? They were years ago. 2,3,5 and 6 were sold.

Yeah..
But now after they have start selling them on Steam, i'm afraid it isn't Abandonware any longer...
But i'm no expert, let's just wait and see what happens out! :D

Also about the 1 and 4 game has become freeware, i can't remember..

Sorry, I think I was using "freeware" incorrectly. I should have been saying "shareware".
I think 1 and 4 were always shareware, as distributed by ID, and were hooks for the sequels in the series. You didn't have to purchase them.

I've not looked on Steam, but I can't see how they would be able to sell 1 or 4 unpackaged with their sequels.
