BARS

BARS is a match three puzzle game for DOS made in 1993 by the very small company Team 200 in Iceland. All I have is an unregistered demo in German (ZIP, 729 KB).

I created the MobyGames entry for BARS and tried to contact all the authors. Believe it or not: They don't have the game any more. Kristmundur Jón Hjaltason told me at Facebook all their games are (obviously) abandonware now. I'm looking for a copy of the full game. Please help!

I guess your best bet would be to somehow spread the word to Iceland people hoping that some retro freak still has it, but is unaware it is wanted. Perhaps authors want to help by simply posting the request on their FB wall and asking their own friends to share it further...

I haven't found any buylinks.

I think we can label this as 'approved'.

It's quite easy to found unregistered English version.

Unfortunately, registered nowhere to be seen. :(

Is that demo version or unregistered version? Because developer just might have the registration code, supposing that he left some "back door" he still remembers.... Shooting in the dark probably, but everything is worth a try....

They call it "shareware" in the manual. One of three playmodes is free. No, the shareware does not contain the full game. I had the same idea, but no.

I can't belief you found the English shareware. Now I can add some missing bits to the MobyGames page. Thank you. Still looking for the full game.

Oh, and I send a reminder to Hjaltason but I'm afraid he does not use Facebook any more.
