The review is blasphemous. Blasphemous, I say! It deserves at least a 3, or a low 4.

That said, I loved this game and its predecessor.
I had the Genesis version of Wrestlemania Arcade, and it was great. Simple, to the point, and no load times. My brother and I played it for days on end.
Then we got In Your House for the Playstation, and were, at first, rather disappointed. First off, the load times were a killer, though this isn't true for the PC version, but at the time it was a big put off. And then add to that the extraneously flashy graphics. Why on earth were wrestlers shooting fireballs out of their hands? So we didn't play this one as much.

But one day, inspired by pure boredom, I decided I'd try to figure out every move for each wrestler. I didn't have a FAQ or move list, so most of it was guesswork. It took a few days and a whole lot of playing to finish that, but by the time I was done I had gained a new appreciation for the game. Sure, the style and graphics are a little screwy, but hidden underneath all of that is an excellent fighting game.
If you're looking for a decent wrestling game you're not gonna find it here. But if you want a good all-out brawl, with a wide assortment of attacks and moves, you might just like this game.

It should be noted that In Your House only fully reaches its potential when taken as a multiplayer game. Playing against the CPU can get rather tedious real fast.

Agreed totally..

Fighting games are just made for multuplayer..

Specially for hot Seat...beathing eachother up while screaming at eachother..

Just loving it :w00t:

Wait.........you mean sites actually said this is a good wrestling game? It might be an okay fighting game (although I hated both it and Wrestlemania) but it's certainly not a good wrestling game. They're probably the two worst wrestling games ever released. Now I haven't watched wrestling in 4 or 5 years, but I was into it for a couple of years.......and there were plenty of good wrestling games. These two certainly don't belong in that category.

I can't think of any good wrestling games on PC. But on consoles there was WCW vs. NWO on N64 as someone already mentioned........Royal Rumble on Sega Genesis was good.....Fire Pro Wrestling that's been on several consoles is phenomenal......the entire Smackdown series that's been on PSX and PS2. All of those games are faaaaaaar better than Wrestlemania and In Your House. Also, the old WWF arcade games from the late 1980s/early 1990s are better than those two "wrestling" (fighting, really) games.

Now, this is stupid! WWF - Wrestlemania is in Arcade genre, and WWF In Your House is in Sports genre!
