I'm going at The National Programming Olympiad, so you won't see me here 'till Saturday. (not that you see me here too often LOL ) It's the first time I'm going at a national olympiad (never managed to get past the local phase), but it's the first time I go to a Programming Olympiad. :D (I've went to maths and...and maths :P lots of times) Even my teachers (yup, there are two of them) were amazed about my results, because they know that the last thing I'm interested in is C++ :P , and I don't even practice doing programs with it at home.

The only problem is that my family wants me very much to make it in the first three places (and I do mean VERY much), and that, if I won't make it (which I won't; my objective this year was to reach this phase to avoid being obligated by them to work at home...I'm lazy  ) they will all phone me (cousins, uncles, aunts, family friends) and ask me what happened, why I didn't make it etc.

Oh, well. I shall wait and see. Wish me luck guys! (on Thursday actually, since that's when the olympiad will take place)

Abi out. :bye:

P.S. I actually hope that they will have internet over there, in which case I'll be back keeping you informed on how many stupid things I'll do there :D

Good luck Abi. :ok:

I wonder what kind of programs you have to do in a C++ Olympiad :omg:

Mainly need the right way of thinking and how to use the building blocks you got in the languages (and what they are, obviously). If you got that without much practice, then you got the right mind for such an olympiad. Some of the questions'll require experience, though, so I hope you'll do great on those as well :ok:

Thanks guys for wishing me luck. It means much to me  :)

 That's my problem. Until I manage to think logical, usually 20 to 30 minutes pass.
