YAY dizzy!!!!! i still feel the hardest was dizzy 1
I played some cute Dizzy games in my old Amiga times, so I tried this one -- PC-Dizzy does not scroll as smooth as the old Amiga games... what a pity
Still a fun game. Does anybody have a complete list of all dizzy games that made it to the pc?
sorry... useless ...
How about this list? According to Mobygames only #1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 on that list made it to the PC, though. So the ones still missing from this site would be Kwik Snax, Fast Food and Fantasy World Dizzy.
thanks for that, yolkfolk lists the lot.
Wow, what a difference of opinion! The editor may have rated it 5. But the people (Or at least 425 voters) rated it 1.8!
I think... this game is a rare taste. I didn't vote, but I remember playing this game once when I was alot younger and not liking it at all. I think because the control was very poor. And I remember horrible scrolling too. |
Frankly, I wouldn't always trust "the people"...
:D This is an incredible game!
I played it to the end and it took me many many hours to complete... Its a quite complicated platform game but there are few games that will entertain you as much as this one. I love Dizzy and I think its one of its best games ever. Good luck and keep playing this good one... |
People are spoiled - they start playing, think "wha da fuk is dis? Screw dis!" and delete. I rarely trust public opinion. I mean, jesus christ, my favorite game Beneath A Steel Sky only gets a 3 on this site!!!! It gets a 9 on Underdogs, which is a more hardcore site than Abandonia. Bottomline, screw public opinion. When people are so lazy as not to put a moment's effort into a game, of course it'll get a bad score.
Dizzy is a game that got lots of charm, but you need to play all the games to really appreciate them. I played the Dizzy games over 12 years ago and loved them, even though they were hard. I STILL play them every year on occasions. |
I agree that many of the original Dizzy adventure games were too bloody hard, but they still provided hours of entertainment if you were willing to stick with them.
Also, the non-adventure games -- Kwik Snax, Fast Food, and maybe a few more I haven't played -- are really great fare and worth a look. Ah, my memories of the Atari ST... good times... :ok: |
Okay so two questions, is there anyway to save on this game and second, i cannot seem to get some of the stars in the grave yard b/c they are too high, am i missing something or what?
No, there is no way to save the game.
I played this game 5 years ago, and didnt completed it. Now I reminded about it, and I downloaded. The only problem is that when i start the game, on windows XP, the screen appears to not support the game... Everything is messed up. Does anyone have any idea on how to solve this problem? I really want to finish the game! Ty, DAngel7 |
Have you tried DOSBox?
Thank You so much!
You solved my problem! I can't w8 to finish the game! I feel younger with 5 years! I feel strange... I feel happy! Thank You very very much!!! DAngel7 |
T'is nothing :max:
waw you actually managed to find out how it works yourself? Impressive for a guest. Remember that you can play many more games with DOSBox! Feel even younger! |

Dizzy having energy makes game more easy at hte start, but on the other hand, game is very long, so it will take lot to complete. As for the graveyard, there is a puzzle how to get to the upper platforms. Probably you'll pick those starts then. I failed to complete the game. It is simpley to big. But i managed to solve lot of things. Just ask here or PM me. have fun |

I had this game for NES. They were selling it at a DOLLAR STORE and it was a gold cartridge. I begged my mom for it. I never beat it but I remember enjoying the music and liking the whole idea of figuring out what item does what.
I just downloaded it and the SOUND ISN'T WORKING! I don't know what to do about it. Any ideas? Anyhoo, this is a great game, but it definately has an aquired taste. |
Check the links in the post above yours, they'll help you as well.
Does anyone know why on pressing the arrows it just takes me to the screen with objects?
I am an idiot. Stupid question. It's Z and X. I'm such an idiot. I haven't played this game in 6 years.
