Old space shooter, with bases...

I've been trying to find this really old game i remember from a long time ago.

Basically, a really simple game with just lines for graphics, your a space ship thats really just a triangle and you fly around capturing planets/bases and you can add things to your base, but there are computers also that fly around and capture planets and try and shoot you.

again the graphics were really simple, looked alot like asteroids, but there was some other game play elements to it. any ideas?

Looks kind of like this...

That reminds me of some StarWars game on the Amiga...

The only suggestion that comes to mind is Zardula: The space insursion (or something like that) - I should have it, but it was more or less a crap remake of Supremacy!

Warpath comes to mind, but the graphics were vastly superior to what you are asking for.

The description reminds me a lot of xpilot, although it isn't exactly ancient. There's been steady development on it over the years too:

Hmm, the original xpilot is actually this link:

Seems there's been a code fork or two in true opensource fashion.

and edit your posts instead of double posting please

Luchsen 05-02-2008 07:09 PM

He can't edit it. He can't see the edit button.

olemars 05-02-2008 07:15 PM

Exactly. I wanted to edit it to remove the picture and add the link instead after I saw how large it was, but the button got pushed out the side too...

Out of the side..? :wondering:
