I just downloaded this iso file (compressed) and when I`m trying to extract it I `m given the folowing error:

CRC failed in 'silent_hill.iso'. File is broken.

So, can it be fixed? Is there some sort of program fixing these things?

First of all, an ISO is _not_ an archive per se. Think of it as an image of the CD contents. WinRar can be used to extract files from ISO images, but it's not the right sort of program for dealing with ISOs at all.

Second, if the ISO image is corrupt there is nothing you can really do to make it 100% functional again.

Third... if you download warez, you shouldn't be surprised to end up with something like that.

whell, the ISO is compressed in an archive (to become smaller) :) I know what an imige file is. . I`m using 7-zip........ (and it rocks).

thanks anyway, I`ve given up, I need to start studying anyway....
And me have found myself some more options for downloading the ISO. But you know, keep it down....

It`s warez huh? The emulator is not, but the ISO`s are. hmmm...
   I guess  I will  not download it  then

With the risk of starting a flame war, if you know your sources, you always get what you desire. :P
As for your archive, check the size which the site you got it from says the file should be (on RapidShare, where you enter the code to download) and the size of your downloaded file. Sometimes, it can happen that files do not download completely, but browsers believe they do (e.g. Firefox, if a time-out occurs).

You can get it again, downloading it with no acceleration (if you splitted the archive to get more segments at same time). As tool, I suggest you to try MagicISO.
