More and more I see people using firefox, so why is it so good?
I can understand that it's better than IE but what makes it better than Opera and In my case MYIE2, it can also block popups, activex, keep tabs and alike, so would somebody please tell me is it worth those 10 minutes to switch to Firefox or it doesn't matter , there's no difference anyway?

You left out Lynx

Oh you're right, well Admins should add it , but there is the OTHER option you know...

I use (and voted for) Firefox.

I personally prefer Firefox and that is why I use it. It does have excellent adblocking features but only if you download the plugin. I like the download manager but it doesn't always remember to ask me about my downloads which IE always did. Also, Firefox seems to give me more unnecessary messages than IE did.

My verdict - If you are really comfortable with IE and would be uncomfortable changing, stick with IE it's not as bad as people make out. However, if you are confident with changing browser, try Firefox, it's a tiny download, it's free and you'll probably like it more than IE. :D

Firefox vs Opera.

Firefox is free. Opera is only free if you have ads taking up most of your browsing space. No contest. Firefox wins every time!

Yes but,
Lynx truly is such a big hit among all :sneaky:,
that it should be counted /-

I've only switched from IE to Firefox recently and I can say it is was a good decision. It has so many advantages over IE, especially in security.

I have also used Opera in the past. It wasn't bad, but it's no Firefox.

My preference is for Opera: easy to use, great configurability. Each to their own.

I prefer Firefox because of security, ease of use, tabbed browsing, and support for my search plugin (<- shamless plug).
