drengor - Boxes and Manuals

My personal collection is non-trivial, and I noticed when looking at the star reach page, that you don't have a boxshot of the US box (bottom left in the attached picture). I am certainly willing to upload any box/manual shots for the games I saved. For starters, I'll include this picture I took a few years ago while discussing copy protection for X3 (mostly to indicate my views on copy protection had nothing to do with piracy).

You'll notice the milk crate full of manuals on the center right, along with boxes of boxes. If I can get an indication of what is desired, along with format and dimensions, I'll take some time to go through them.

Everything! WE WANT EVERYTHING!!!

Seriously, if you see game, and we haven't good manual of it (not all manuals are good, you know? :), then we need it.

Some original PC-manuals are very rare for games before 2000. For example, there is no scanned version of LA Afterlife Player's Guide (not 20-pages "brief", but full Prima one) anywhere in the internet. Might and Magic 1 exists only in "recognized" HOTU-version without pictures - and GOG used it too. Map for M&M1 exist only in lo-res, barely visible. Etc. So if you see anything that not on internet - you are very welcome. If not site itself, I, personally, will thank you. :)

Hi, beautiful collection :)

We don't know everyhing you can offer, so I can just spot what is in the open. It is better to give you few titles to focus than just let you uplaod everything :) but it would help if you can provide list or more pictures with better visible titles.

So I think your box or CD case is different from what we have for Dune 2000 (boxshots), Star Reach (boxshots) and Magic Carpet (boxshots).

Also, as Spectre said, if you have old Might&Magic that would be awesome :D

Nice collection man :OK:

I have verified that I don't own the original release of Might and Magic, but have the limited edition Might and Magic VI which included M&M1-5. I will attempt to locate the disk and manual from that to see if previous manuals were included somehow...

I can take a more useful shot of the boxes for listing purposes, as well as boxshots of the three you listed. (Star Reach, Magic Carpet, and Dune 2000)

Pics of all my 'oversize' boxes... IE: before they standardized on the roughly DVD sized boxes. Well, almost all... a couple aren't in there, like Birthright.

I have taken the boxshots of Star Reach, Magic Carpet, and Dune 2000... I don't believe I have FTP access to upload them. I can wait for that, or upload those to imgur as well.

BTW, the Dune 2000 has a gold stripe along the bottom calling it 'CD-ROM Classics'.. Presumably it was a re-release and not the original.

Hmm, I see nothing that I know as missing... but maybe Daggerfall?
2all:
Is "good" DF manual available online? I knew only Underdogs one, and it is quite low-res and dirty.

You get all the brownie points :)

Wow!

Wow! I'm sorry that I have been way out of line. Now I see where I stand in comparison to you collectors... I do not exist hehe No seriously that is a nice collection. You took good care of them for some of the titles and years it seems. I normally throw all my boxes and sleeves out to conserve space. However you should keep your's... just don't let anyone around you see. You might get you stash broken into.
