Untitled? Pink "Myst" precursor?

The format and look of this game resembles
http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/608/Shadowgate.html
very closely. at least in art quality through dated graphics.
but it was most definitely in those colors.

I do not recall a main character of any kind, or even any text.
If I had to borrow other concepts to describe this ancient game, I'd have to say its similar to the Myst series.

You point and click, activate various things, and in doorways and such, you go to new rooms.

Amongst the various scenes that were memorable, (or more like we got stuck there) was...
-Pink and Black, Knight, Chess Piece, on presumably a warped chess board.
-Big Teacup/Coffee Cup, with a straw. with circular swirls visible. (cream probably)
-had a Straw in it, to drain the cup, which opened a hole at the bottom for the next place.
-had a big pink elephant and i think a magic carpet, on a river...
the pink elephant was dressed in middle eastern/indian formal elephant attire.

That is the extent of my memories. If anyone can remember the name, or even further pieces of the puzzle, or heck, even voice recognition to this lost game, it'd be appreciated.

Everyone should "play" The Manhole, whether the original, the remake, or even the (rather uglier) re-remake.

A true classic.
