What vintage machines (pre1995) do you own? Computers,
consoles and arcade machines (could be) are qualified.
Please post a picture of your favourite one and share the specs or any
modifications you might have made.

I think we still have our old appleII (too bad, not working anymore. It didn't really like not being used for so long.)

I did loved some of the apple games. Lukily, we've found an emulator, and roms to go with it :)

I think I have a (non working) C64 somewhere in my apartment, I also have two Sega Mega (Genesis) consoles that predate 95'...

chickenman 07-02-2006 09:25 AM

I got a N64 (which I still play a lot), I had a play station till it broke, I've also got a PS2, I used to have a Sega Master System 2 and a Sega Mega Drive 2 which my sister has now, and they still work !!.

I also have a N64, SNES and PSX emulator with plenty of games :)

keropi 07-02-2006 09:45 AM

I have a 386sx, 486/100, saturn, gameboy bw, snes, megadrive plus a lot other machines of that era... but by far my favorite is the 386sx, an IBM PS1/Pro...

Rogue 07-02-2006 11:06 AM

I have

Sega GameGear with 6 games - currently displays only white screen
Sega Genesis (MegaDrive in EU) with over 50 games
Sega DreamCast - not really pre-1995, but used to emulate other consoles such as NES GB and Sega Master System. :)
Pentium 90 - I believe this one is 11 years old. I have actually two of them.
Sony Playstation - bought this in 1996.

I've some more P1 machines including 100, 133, 166, 200 and 233MHz, most of them are dell's.

Of newer machines I have PS2, NGC and GBA.

When I got more time I will get following:

C64
Amiga
Atari ST
ZX Spectrum 48
Apple IIe
SNES
SMS
NES
N64

Today I emulate them all, but I would like to get the real machines just as private collection.

Quintopotere 07-02-2006 11:15 AM

I have an Atari 2600 (with some cartridges) and a so so functioning clone fo Pong :w00t:

gregor 07-02-2006 11:39 AM

have:
spectrum 48+
486dx 80 Mhz

Used to own Dialog. a Z80 based PC made in Slovenia. had monocrome monitor, two 5,25 FDD and if i am not mistaking 640kB of RAM. was running on DOS 3.0. But didnt' have propper graphics.
It made room to a borrowed 286/12 Mhz. the latter i returned while Dialog i don't know where it went. Maybe we threw it away...can't remember.

kajjj 08-02-2006 05:47 PM

I stll have Atari 800 XL,
286,
386,
N64
and just brought from work two good-looking PC's, can't wait to see what's inside...

from new stuff:
the PC that I use right now,
PS2
XBOX (used for emulation)
GameCube
GBA

Tulac 08-02-2006 09:47 PM

Why would you use an Xbox for emulatuion, what can it do that PC can't? For Dreamcast I am not sure either...

Gelfo 09-02-2006 12:14 AM

Well.. yeah I have a Playstation... pre-95 but would never ever describe it as 'vintage'

I have a NES set up in my room because the NES is my idol, a snes somewhere out in the shed and my loft is an amiga graveyard... there must be about 5 amigas up there in pieces.. A1200, A4000, A600, A500, A500+. And an Atari ST..

I want a nintendo game & watch

Squalidangel 09-02-2006 03:23 AM

Plus getting an Xbox for emulation purposes is less expensive than getting a PC AND the Xbox does a *very* good job at emulating the 8 bit systems and many of the 16 bits as well :)

Squalidangel 10-02-2006 04:01 AM
