Wow, another great game...
At 1990, Lode Runner, Digger and Sopwitch are all games I'd ever seen and they are still very playable today.

Thinking about it now, I think this is the first "computer" game I ever played. That was on an old Comadore 64. Amazing how as soon as I saw it I had it. Lots of other clones but the simplicity of this version makes it more fun on a rainy day.
I am trying to play it on my pc with win 98. I am not using DOS box, Could some one tell me how to slow it down some...thanks in advance

I'll download this. Though I much prefer the VGA version, but this is really classic.

there is a VGA version ??? where?

Even my Mom liked to play LodeRunner on my Commodore C16 back in - wild guess - 1984. A great game. But I fear I do not dare to DL an play this PC version. I fear that the magic will be lost then ...

Sorry for the confusion. The "VGA version" was probably the sequel, subtitled "Mad Monk's Revenge" or something like that. I still have that one on my old harddisk. I remember it was from around 1994 or 1995, and it was by Sierra (I don't know why it's not Broderbund). I used to make my own custom levels with it as well. That was my first exposure to Lode Runner.

Ah, here you go:

Again, sorry for the confusion :whistling:

Cool game. Remember playing it on my apple IIc and making my own crazy levels. Tried playing it again now. It's smooth sailing until level 6 where things start getting a little hairy... I think I need to slow the game down some more...
