Not sure where to post this, but...

Trying to take screenshots in Master of Orion 2. Using the Printscreen keyboard button + irfanview (or MS word, same muck).

I get/capture 'something', but colors are all wrong/black/invisible... hard to actually tell what is in the picture.

But in Ravenloft:StoneProphet this works just fine, as does MtG:Planeswalker and lots of others.

There are other games where this 'mess' also happens.

Any free programs that will help ? Or, even commercial ones ?

I could of course use a digital camera(!), but.... ':D'
I've seen screenshots of it, so I know it should be possible, but I'm lost atm...

Anyone have any idea ?

I'm using both Win98FE/SE and XP SP1.
Or would I have to boot into a genuine DOS 6.22 installation, and install the games there (?)

(never used DOSbox.... yet.... 'LOL' )

Moved to Technical stuff.

I can't really help you here, but I think you should try to find special programs which capture what you see on the screen as an independent image. ScreenThief might be one of those.

Screen Thief worked perfectly under DOS, I used it to take screenshots from Space Hulk.

Win98 (any) has the option to reboot into DOS... that will suffice in most cases.

DosBox has a built-in screenshot tool.
