put it on an external host like sendspace or imageshack

If the Walkthrough or Maps arent from you, then ask the Author if Abandonia can host it.

You cant just steal Stuff from other Site to put it on Abandonia.

ouch... well i am no lawyer, if that files arent legal then sorry... but is'nt that so when such files are signed by author and you dont lie that they are for example your files - its ok?

That depends on the copyright clauses introduced by the author in the document.
Some give permission for the document to be hosted anywhere, as long as it is unaltered. Others specify only a few sites that can host it, and hosting it anywhere else would constitute a copyright violation.
If there is no such notice, it is only proper to request appropriate permission.
