I've played this since I had to make the Youtube vid - while I can see that it might be fun, it can get frustrating when you can't accurately predict a distance.

Also, the flickering seems to be a real issue.

This game's fun for a few hours or so.
It reminds me of an electro-pop video by Daft Punk or Air.

The Youtube video made me play this one and not just pass it by.

For perspective and gauging distance, you can use the up/down arrow keys to adjust the view. Space is like a rocket boost. Left/right turn left/right. in case you thought they may do something special.
(in the action game, I'm a macho man :slave:, so I don't understand the emotion one.)

The flickering is fixed by running the game in CGA, attempting to load some old-skool drivers in dosbox or by running teh game straight from Windows - you just need to be using some software to slow yr pc down, else the game is mental fast.
(at least on my pc)

You can get some software like this. There are loads to choose from. I like the slider in this, tho:

Of course, running it through windows will mean you have problems getting the sound to work unless you sort out Adlib emulation/settings.
I haven't tried VDM Sound, but it'll probably be fine.

Just don't alt-tab out of it, else when you go back, the screen's fubar'd.
