A friend of mine and I have recently started playing Close Combat V: Invasion Normandy against eachother. We're having a real blast playing some of the different mods that are out there, they're fantastic!
I must say it's one of the best multiplayer games I've played and it's really nervewrecking to play, since the soldiers really act like you would expect in real life situations, so you can't just make them charge the front of an MG emplacement. You're constantly on your toes and it's quite easy to get sweaty hands, especially when your flank is being overrun by germans. :whistling: Unfortunatly the AI isn't very good but multiplayer is where the game really shines. Any of you guys played it? |
I've heard a lot about Close Combat and I've seen some websites offering mods and maps, but unfortunately I've never tried it.
Being a WWII enthusiast it's about time I get started. :titan: |
yes one of my fav games
not sure on the fatigue mechanics though, soldiers seem to get tired awfully quickly also annoying how tanks can be so easily disabled |
True, shooting at tanks is liking rolling a dice, sometimes you destroy the tank in one hit, and sometimes you can shoot it from three different directions for several minutes without even scratching the paint. :tai:
