Ia, Cthulhu Fhtagn.
Starts nicely, but the plot has a few holes and loose ends. Not a bad adventure game, just... not a very good Cthulhu Mythos game.
Shadow of the Comet was better in that regard.

Which languages you kept? (both for sound and subtitles)

That is true. When I compare this to SotC, I usually think about plotline and overall Cthulhu Mythos immersion, which makes SotC the best of the two.

However, I still remember how atrocious the control scheme was in SotC and how some of the puzzles (ie, developing photographic plates or using the figurines against the cultist) were almost impossible without bruteforcing or using a walkthrough (especially when items have two different names ingame...).

You mean the archive? I think it has French in addition to English, but I didn't particularly verify it.

That's a nice game:OK:

but i think you're right. It was way easier to control than Shadow of the Comet, 'cause here you can use the mouse instead of using the keyboard but the story of SotC was more intensive.....and not just because it had Vincent Price in it :smile2:

Not to mention Jack Nicholson, Willem Dafoe, Ron Weasley and my favorite character of all... Chief Cockfire (sorry, but the intro with Narackamous and the hands of fire always crack me up xD)
