[NO-GO: ESA PROTECTED]

The Mortal Kombat series are ESA-protected.
That means you:
1. Cannot download them here.
2. Cannot post download links to them here.
3. Cannot ask for download links to them here.

For any other fighting games, check the Action and Arcade genre cathegories on the main site. I know there is at least half dozen of them in there.

Thanks, but are the ways how to delete esa protection ?

Mighty Midget 15-09-2006 02:56 PM

We DON'T mess with the ESA protection here. If they ask Abandonia to disable download for a title, Abandonia will. Actually, ESA can be nice :) Recently Abandonia got back a few titles for download (right, Ab?).

The Fifth Horseman 15-09-2006 03:05 PM

Exactly. You don't "delete" ESA protection.

All that can be done is to politely and humbly ask them for a permission to put that game up for download.

If they agree - well, you can do that. If they don't - tough luck, their right to refuse.

ESA is a fairly powerful anti-piracy organisation, and Abandonia had trouble with them over a year ago. Back then, it ended up with over 250 games being removed from the download to avoid the site being permamently closed and its crew sued out of their last pair of underwear.
Suffice to say, we don't want trouble with them ever again.

i see, so you upload only not "ripped" games, and that's why Abandonia wont close soon :kosta:

Yup. We have all intentions of staying right where we are.

The budget release was 2001. The original was 1998, and that is the one we count from.
