I noticed everyone loves my avatar for some reason ^_^

The first and second ones are the only canonical instalments of the Samurai Shodown saga. :bleh:

I used that avatar for a bit many years ago...

And I can't imagine why he would say "please" there.

By the way, did we ever have the final for the best Avatar on Abandonia?

Obviously he's awfully righteous.

Of course everyone likes it, Samurai Shodown rules. Ukyo Tachibana is teh pwnz0rz. Basara owns him though.

And he says please because that character is in fact totally righteous, and doesn't like hurting people. I forget his name, but I know his opponent is Hattori Hanzo.

He's one of the referees of the tournament --notice another one refereeing and the rest seated in the background. He doesn't take part in the tournament, he just challenges you if you show very good skill and if you get lucky --or rather unlucky. He says please more like because he wants to be sure the fight is fair, not that he's not a killing machine.

EDIT: I'm talking about Samurai Shodown II, :max: needless to say.

I think we're still waiting for that one, which is a shame 'cos I had a personal interest in that one ;)

Isn't that also the name of the Japanese sushi-chef and sword-master guy that makes Uma Thurman's sword in Kill Bill 1? That's sorta wierd if it is...

well IMDB says yes: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0266697/

Sonny Chiba plays Hattori Hanzo

Hattori Hanzo is also a character in "Hattori Hanzô: Kage no Gundan" (1980) [TV-Series] played by same guy.

chainsoar 01-12-2006 09:34 PM

There's also a grindcore band called Hattori Hanzo.
