Sounds (yes, another one who doesn't get it)
 

Hey,

Running WindowsXP, but can't setup sounds properly on any of the games.

My hardware stats are: PCI bus 0, device 7, function 5. How do these stats correspond to IO, DMA, IRQ?

If anyone can help out - much appreciated.

As for you problems, you do not mention which games you are having problems with... but it seems to be a lot of them.

Remember that if you run DOSbox, then you must install the sound for soundblaster IRQ 7.

things seem to be sorted.

read through a few of the posts and learned about DOSbox. loeaded it up, and things seem to be happening for me.

one weird thing though, I'm playing Kings Quest 5 and I'm not getting the voices, just the midi sound. the Sierra installer doesn't seem to want to save. not a biggie, just remembered what it was like playing years ago with the speech and got a bit nostalgic.

The speech pack is not included, since that would make the archive too big for the site.

Maybe we will put the complete archive with speech out in the V.I.P. section some day.

Not that that would help out poor ultranewbie but I would like that. Bring it up with the next proposal round.
