[The Fifth Horseman] Beasts & Bumpkins
 

I vaguely remember playing a great game in the late 90's.
It was reminiscent of age of empires, but I think it had a more medieval or european setting.

It was for PC, windows 95 or 98.
I dont remember the sounds or the music.
I think you could call it an RTS, rpg or 4x.
There was definitely a fog of war, and you saw your little human followers from above. You had to get them to breed in their huts, to ensure the survival of the tribe. But I'm pretty sure you could let them sleep out by the bonfire in their sleeping bags or hides or whatever..

And one last important thing.. I'm also sure there were human-sized bee's as enemies!
I never made it past the beginning.

This description sound a lot like Baldies.

No, the Fifth got it already, the fire and people sleeping around it and huge wasps give it away (check my other screenshots at MobyGames).

Quite possible. I only offered Baldies as a second option.

I never played Beasts & Bumpkins but it look like a nice game.
