Well, Nostradamus has predicted the world would end pretty soon!
He actually predicted it a while ago. 1997 I beleive. Anyway, he was stark racing mad and wrote in medieval French so we don't even know if he really said that.

So, I wonder how far is this cloud and how fast is it travelling towards us? (or us towards it). If this is true, I wonder how long till it really gets out and panic starts. I am worried, but there is only one thing to do (as a species) and it ain't happening, so, oh my.

If it is travelling near the speed of light, then it is less than 9 light years away. Is it influenced by gravity?

I'm not worried. I'll already be dead...

@efthimnios: It says how fast/far in the article.

Aristharus 20-09-2005 10:07 AM

I think it only said when. And at what speed. Not how far, but that's a pretty easy one when you know those other two. :)

I'd be interested in knowing how exactly they managed to get a picture series of this 'cloud' destroying an asteroid 8-9 light years away.. ;)

Oh, and here's the source of the article: http://www.weeklyworldnews.com

I'm very happy that

"The good news is that this finding confirms several cutting- edge ideas in theoretical physics," announced Dr. Albert Sherwinski, a Cambridge based astrophysicist with close ties to NASA.
That could be a great advance for our science, so we will able to dicover many important things in the last ten years of the humanity! :Brain:

I guess it is fake, nothing to worry about people.
