I thought that Purple Tentacle's thread lacked a poll so to better see the statistics, here we go.

Havent played all of the above, but its a tie between Monkey Island 2 and Full Throttle. Voted for Full Throttle though, guess I liked being able to kick someones behind with your fists instead of your brain. :D

Grim Fandango :D

Fruit Pie Jones 31-10-2005 03:22 PM

I said "The Dig," because it's the only one of those listed that I have actually played.

Frodo 31-10-2005 05:24 PM

I voted for Maniac Mansion.

Day Of The Tentacle, Fate Of Atlantis and the first 3 Monkey Island games come a close 2nd place (can you have 5 games in 2nd place?)

LucasArts used to do so many good adventure games, it's hard to pick just one. :D

:ok:

No votes for Monkey Island? No votes for Indy?:omg:

By the way, if you didn't count the newer Indiana Jones games, how come you're listing Monkey Island 3 and 4? I mean, in Monkey Island 3 Guybrush stopped even looking like Guybrush, right?

I didn't know the newer Indy games were adventure games. I thought they were some kind of Tomb Raider rip off. Still, there is always the "other" alternative.

I voted on "The Dig" by the way. DOTT and Grim Fandango are a close second. DOTT for the puzzles and humor and Grim Fandango for the setting and story. Right behind them are Monkey 1 & 2. The only games I haven't played in the list are last crusade and Labyrinth.

Damn.. You appear to lack the 'I burn all adventure games I see' poll option.

Well, if you do that you'll hardly have a favourite adventure anyway, so you needn't even bother to vote in the poll, obviously.:bleh:

Burning adventure games is like holding your breath until you die. Can't be done.

Since you don't seem to have played through a good adventure game it's high time you try one. You can start with something not so difficult like Indigo Prophecy. We all know that adventure is THE genre. Adventure is art. Adventure is movie and novel combined. Adventure is the p00p!

*edit*
Skip Indigo, try a real adventure like Beneath a steel sky. DO IT NOW!
