Laarge game, though it consists of always the same textures, so it gets little repetetive with time... B)

I think they did a good job of diversifying it all by adding different architectural textures, and differen't landscape textures.
and it gets a haulover during winters.

I forgot to mention in the interview that there are some special days on which youg et free ale in pubs and magic stuff at 1/2 of the price.
but thats not all that important.

Hope my review wasn't too dry.

Your review was excellent! I'm just happy you refrained from calling everyone a tree-hugging peace-nik :P

That special days are the entire holidays, there are many of them, and they all have their own special bonuses, like the mentioned cheaper magic items.

I only throw around minor insults to people here on the forum.
No need to insult people visiting abandonia just to download without even thanking or contributing... lazy treehugging peaceniks.

anyway
those days aren't always holidays.
Some change from city to city. Like when the generous ruler of Ald Rhun offers to pay the bill in taverns an entire day long for no real reason.

The pictures in the review don't do the game much credit
most of them are in the starter dungeon.
If anyone hasn't played the game already, here are some above-ground screenshots.

Well....

I couldn't figure out how I attacked. So that little goblin on the screenshot killed me.

FreeFreddy 28-08-2004 09:32 PM

Uhh, that must been embarassing... http://forum.giga.de/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif
You'll need to press the left mouse button, hold it then and draw the cursor then from left to right (or from right left?) side.

Stroggy 28-08-2004 09:34 PM

actually
you hold down the right mouse button.
and you can swing by dragging to mouse from left to right, or from right to left, or up and down (basically just move around a bit with the mouse)

Tom Henrik 28-08-2004 10:10 PM

Cool.

(Now if only I had a mouse to move around  )
