DOS side-scroller, forgotten title

I would have been playing this on my IBM ps/1. It was a side-scroller / platformer, and it was definitely in color. This would have been early / mid nineties, and the only real detail that I can remember is that there were several mid to late game levels named Adobe.

Any guesses?

Anything gameplay related? What were you picking up, how did you deal with enemies? Was it EGA or VGA? Any game you can find with similar coloring?

Hm, it would have been similar in graphical quality to the Apogee games like Secret Agent, Crystal Caves, and Commander Keen. Would have played similar to them, too. Also probably around that time frame, ±5 years.

This was around the time we would have been playing those games, also The Treehouse, Mixed-Up Fairy Tales, the earliest of the Super Solvers games...things of that era.

What about protagonist and gameplay? Was it like Mario, linear and mostly jumpy, or like Commander Keen, branching and run-and-gun? Who is our hero at all? What about setting - fantasy forest, nuclear base, space zombies?

ADOBE or ABODE? The former would presumably refer to the ancient building material/method, which would be quite unusual and might give a hint to theme/setting. The latter might indicate a group of stages set in or around an entity's dwelling, and might refer to an antagonist the player was approaching.
