GraveDigger 23-08-2006 07:16 AM

is this for Destop PC or hand held PC?

Stiggy 25-08-2006 03:19 AM

For DOS.

DonCorleone 25-08-2006 11:48 AM

Seems to be a hard one. I can't find anything 'bout the game, either. At least during a search of...uhm... five minutes. But I will search further...

Frodo 25-08-2006 08:46 PM

Is this the game you are looking for? - http://www.evolutionary.net/hunt-info.htm

It doesn't seem to be for Dos. You can get a level editor for Windows, but the game itself is for Handheld pcs or Pocket Pcs.

Stiggy 25-08-2006 10:58 PM

That is it but there was a dos version many years ago. it didnt have the water that the Mobile version does. I cant find the DOS one anywhere :(

Stiggy 19-09-2006 10:09 AM

anyone had any luck?

Morrin 19-09-2006 11:57 AM

Damn this is tough one. Cannot find it either. Now it bothers me. :D This must be rare one. So it's definetly called emeral hunt?

chainsoar 19-09-2006 04:35 PM

If you'd been looking for the handheld version, I could give you hundreds of links, but I'm not turning up any results for a DOS version at all.

hmmmm ok, I will punch out links on the whole Boulder Dash affair.

it was definaetly called emeral hunt. i know that for a fact. i believe it had a "hunt.exe". the title screen was all black with emeral hunt in green :P

it wasnt quite boulderdash unfortunatley. this game was awesome. i will be willing to donate a prize now for anyone who finds it.

Emerald Hunt sounds like a Emerald Mines clone, and well Emerald Mines, is a Boulder Dash Clone . But ok I could be wrong, but the pictures of the game reminds me of a Boulder Dash clone like game.

Working for some months as a slave, half of your wealth or you first son seems acceptable for me.

BeefontheBone 01-10-2006 01:00 PM

Or perhaps something from your home in the Dumpy :)

csharpmajor 26-10-2006 03:08 AM

Sorry if I'm reviving a dead topic here, but I have this game if you still want it :)

The Fifth Horseman 26-10-2006 08:46 AM

When you have the game and can supply it, the revive is absolutely justified. :)

This thread has instructions on the upload procedure. :ok:
If you're familiar with FTP usage, you can skip it. Just make sure the archive is cleaned out of old savegames/highscores, and PM the boss (Kosta) for the server login.

Okay, thanks! I just realised it's sitting in the same folder as two other games so I'll have to separate the files somehow... :wallbash:

The Fifth Horseman 26-10-2006 01:13 PM

Happened to me a few times too. By-date sorting can help in these cases. ^_^

Stiggy 27-10-2006 12:14 AM

csharpmajor if you can provide me with this game u are a living legend. and we shall discuss your prize

csharpmajor 27-10-2006 08:51 AM

Uploaded! (I think)

I was going to take screenshots but I couldn't find a program that could manage. So it's just the zip file (oh yeah, I found an ancient zip file from 1990 that saved me the trouble of hunting down all the supporting files ;D).

The level and sprite editors are also included, as well as two crappy custom levels and a saved game. I wasn't sure whether to delete them but I thought since the game is also from 1990, maybe they were part of the original distribution so I kept 'em.

Hope this helps! Prize unnecessary ;)

Edit: Do you want a review of the game as well?

The Fifth Horseman 27-10-2006 11:30 AM

Writing a review is optional, but appreciated. If you want to do that, talk to Kosta.

Stiggy 29-10-2006 01:31 AM

Where is the file?

The Fifth Horseman 30-10-2006 09:07 AM

On Abandonia's FTP server.

Hey,
I think this is the game I've been looking for for a long time now.
Is it still available? I havent been able to find it on the site anywhere.
Any help appreciated :)

lenora 10-03-2011 07:44 AM

How does one access the FTP server?

Luchsen 10-03-2011 01:24 PM

The FTP server is for staff members who need to access it. If you want to review the game, then say so and someone will send you the archive. :)

Can someone please send me the archive of Emerald Hunt?

I've been searching all over the internet for it, and can't seem to find a copy. Thank you!

marko river 05-01-2013 02:05 PM

Can archive be found? I looked it on FTP after seeing this topic but couldn't find it.

ross232 11-06-2013 11:33 PM

I would also love a copy of this game. Can someone send me a link to the archive?

Also been looking for this game for years

i_leeder 03-06-2015 05:51 AM

If anyone was still looking for this game, and has notifications for this thread set up (unlikely) it's FINALLY live on the site, after 5 months of nagging.
