That is true. I don't know if blocking javascript for myshoutbox.com would work without making the shoutbox act weird, but I'll try.

I got a popup as well when clicking on the get it button... by the way I got IE 6 :tomato:

IE is not very safe. You should use Firefox and do what I said above. It will always work :ok:

I'm using Firefox for over a year now? I feel much more secure... And don't we just love the 'tabs' function? Have you ever noticed that when switching to IE you keep on pressing the middle mouse button for some links? Scary...

By the way, the popup mentioned above periodically appears, sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't. I'll see about that "Noscript" thingy.

I loathe this function. I keep opening everything in a new window and get mad if/when a tab materialize all by itself. I have this problem right now with the UDTool...

Just a little note from the crew: We have NO controle over what clicksor or google diplays here, as we basicly sell the space with the condition that they can show whatever pleases them.

EDIT: I just managed to get a popup from Party-poker.
Right now, it mainly seems to be happening on the download-page.

EDIT2: It seems to be isolated to clicksor's ads only. Nothing from google.

This means that my solution would work, but do you receive money for what they show or do we need to also click on their ads? (as clicksor ads do not appear if my solution is used)

Where might I find NoScript. This feels a bit n00by to post...

.:EDIT:.
I thought so. I found it without google,

Eagle of Fire 20-01-2006 10:39 AM

I just recently installed NoScript too and I can confirm that it do block those annoying popups.

I strongly recommend it to anyone use Firefox. Having control on something as evil as Java or Javascript is never too much anyways... While I'm at it, having control on anything running in the background in your computer is a good thing™. :ok:

Bobbin Threadbare 20-01-2006 10:41 AM

@EoF: Yes, it does seem to be working.
@Scarface: Get Mozilla or Firefox or Safari (Mac) or Opera (supposedly need to pay)
