I haven't seen a single popup ever SINCE I switched to mac.* :w00t:
So you did have them when you used Win or Linux? [/b][/quote]
I had them with Netscape. When I switched to Firefox I got about 2 a month.

It's true. Oh noes! What is Abandonia coming to? I click my 4 popups a day. What is wrong?

I think just about everyone here uses Firefox. SO, that's not the problem.

I use Opera and I don't see a single popup either.

I get 'FREE SPYWARE CHECK! 100% NO SPYWARE GUARANTEE!' pop-ups when downloading a game. Must choose between Yes or No, both bring me to the site below. (Actually, I don't know about 'Yes' but I'm not stupid.)
By the way, it's Dutch.

Site URL: DON'T CLICK HERE

Abi79 18-01-2006 02:46 PM

Must?! Can't you just close the window?

TIP: To block this popups get Firefox, get the plugin named "NoScript" and block the scripts from "clicksor". This should work, but note that I didn't try it yet. I'll try it later and write here.

EDIT: It worked. If you don't want to use Firefox, you can try to find an alternative way of disabling javascript for clicksor.

Hmmm... apparently if you follow links through the shoutbox, you get popups.
