The Lego franchise Lord of the Rings game features OST from the Trilogy. I like them. :music:

In addition, it presents interesting Side Quests during the exploration of the Middle-Earth World. XD

This exploration feature of the surrounding world is only (unfortunately!) available in the Marvel game of the Lego franchise (Final Boss would be the Big G aka Galactus). However, it does not have the magic and fantasy of the Medieval World typical of RPG...

I managed to get in touch with Michal Benes - and he had Dr. Ont's walkthrough archived :OK:. You can find both engine and walkthrough at:

And here's a cheer for those still enjoying this great game in 2019. :smile2:

Unfortunately the walkthrough site by Turrog/Dront is down

http://fradmo.altervista.org/lrpc/index.htm

I tried to contact him and still got no reply - still he himself has asserted that he seldom looks at that address so let's wait. Internet Archive/Wayback Machine has no working mirror - the original is image heavy and is thus mangled. :(

To new readers of the thread I recommend Michal Benes engine if you manage to run it (it's not much of a stretch either) and Turrog excellent and detailed walkthrough. :OK:

A nice article - if somewhat unrelated - is to be found here:

Hey folks!

Just wanted folks to know that I have recently written and published a new guide for this game.

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/921...-pc/faqs/78547

Check it out!

Funny story -- while working on this guide, I encountered a problem I couldn't resolve with a bug. I googled for the answer, and it led me...straight to this forum! As I was reading the thread, I saw one of the screennames talking about it here -- back in 2009 -- and realized with a start that it was MY screen name. I had already been here once with this issue, 10 years ago, and gotten help on this same thread. I had completely forgotten about it, and then found it again as I was finishing it up.

Anyway, those of you who love this game, hope you enjoy the guide. You probably won't need it, but I'm happy to make my own little contribution to this aspect of 90s DOS games.
