I have this crappy DX2/80 machine here and it lack but one thing to operate. Which happens to be the most important too - an OS.
A freedos release I have seems to be botched, anyway it did not run / install properly. So, can anybody recommend me any decent equivalents? Free ones, preferably. |
This one even has internet support :ok:

To be honest, I'm looking for something with a DOS software compatibility. This PC is to be used only for old games, you know.

MS DOS 7.1 - google for that....
|
 You know what, Anubis, you just solved the issue. :ok:
Altough I didn't suspect that a Microsoft OS of any type could be freely downloadable. But this means that the scrapheap will work! :w00t: Yay! |
How about this one: http://www.freedos.org/

@Horseman i would recommend 7.1.It's good, and it also has a rich help database |
1. This thing already caused me a lot of grief when I was trying to use it.
2. Anubis already helped me. :Brain: @Omuletzu: I'll try 7.1. Already downloaded it onto my HDD. |
Glad it helped ya.
It is nice to have dos installation from CD, and it works with Win3.11/9X. |
