Something I know already for some time but apparently most of you don't know about it:

In your user panel options
Visible Post Elements
Unckeck Show Images
Makes this whole board trice as fast, and you only have to load the imgs by clicking the links you interested in.

What's the benefit of high speed ADSL if it doesn't work faster than dial-up?
Some of the topics here with plenty of imgs take up to 25 secs to load, that's indeed back to dial-up times.

Even HotU loads faster sometimes ........ :cheesy:

hmm i think fault is when users upload images to external servers such as imageshack, if there's a large picture then it would be probably better to attach it

Fact are with this option checked:
-> Board works/loads trice as fast.

-> All those sig banners appear as link, they aren't loaded.
-> All those pics appear as links, they aren't loaded if you don't want to see them.
-> All those dragon links don't slow the loading times.
-> Add some more of the same crap.

All put together makes this board a lot faster and more: the page up/down - back/forward also works much better.

At least it gives me the feeling I'm on highspeed ADSL and didn't experience a retro timewarp projecting me backwards on those lovely dial-up times when browsing AB. :)
