Bergur 20-04-2005 04:04 AM

are u saying u get 14 to 15 megabytes a second or 14 to 15 kilobytes a second because the firsat is not possible with todays tecknology

It is possible with Internet2 (even faster then that ;)), but as he already fixed it, in this case it's not. ;)

it's about 2 mbit here I suppose. I got download speeds of 250 kylobyte a second mostly

I haven't noticed about this site in particular, but if the server supports it I can download to speeds up to 980KB/s or something close to that. I still remember the first time I tried to download something large here, the doom 3 demo and it took like 2-3 min or something. Hilarious actualy if you knew the whole story. LOL :ranting:

768 kbit/s down, 278 kbit/s up

ReamusLQ 20-04-2005 07:43 AM

that depends. When downloading a file from someone with a connection as fast as mine from AIM or some chat service, I have gotten between 5-12 mbps (connection is 100mbps) From sites it also varies, although from this site it is usually between 900k to 2 megs.

With a gigabit lan theoretically you should be able to pull 125 mb/s :) I haven't been able to convince my boss that I really need to be on that switch however :P

And the specs for my current line at home: 1024 kbps down, 512 kbps up
Next week: 10 mbits down, 10 mbits up on glassfiber :Brain:
