Haha, Titan, now that you achieved the UFO challenge, time to do the TFTD challenge.

Let's see what the record time is for finishing TFTD under superhuman. I assume someone here will get it done in the first 6 months (in game time). TFTD is harder than UFO so alien techs are allowed or else it will be impossible.

What are the restrictions on play exactly?

If none, I beat it in June of year 1.

One thing i REALY miss in BOTH the games is the option to... HIT someone... bare fists..

A few of the AI-contoles fellows have that option, so the code is there..

ok, rules are:

Plastic aqua armour only, no ion armour or mg ion armour.

No use of disruptor, only human grenades allowed, ie no mass nuking.

Sonic cannons and rifles allowed, not allowing these would be ridiculous.

But Lobstermen are piss easy to take out with Stun rods. All you need to do is get close to them and they completely ignore the awesome firepower at their disposal and come and slightly knaw on your aquanauts, taking away all of 10 damage.

You then stun them and they fall like a sack of potatoes. It's pretty sweet, and even Lobsterman Commanders are taken care of quickly like this. You then run off with them in a cheeky fashion and get in your Triton, praying that it won't get back up.

Harpoons really are lame, though, so I suppose that it would be a hard challenge. If we did a 'if you can't buy it, then you can't have it' with gauss weapons too, as they are human tech?

Like I said, play superhuman without Ion armour.

On the other hand, your soldiers will get OWNED by anything bigger than an Aquatoid if that's the rule we are using.

Plastic armour is of little or no use against anything bigger than a Sonic Pistol.
