That was allready mentioned. There was also mentioned that the Americans commercialised it rather a lot. And it was also mentioned that former non-Halloween-celebrating countries are copying the holyday 'American Style' (i.e. pretty bad if you ask me).

Still is. Though "pagan" is too generic. Pagan usually refers to any polytheistic or pre-Christian religion, though there are many differences among them. Samhain (pronounced SOW-en) is often celebrated among Celtic-leaning pagans, and that's the direct ancestor of All Hallows Eve, which in turn became Halloween.
