Dream Artisan - SimCity Classic - Box and media scans, screenshot
 

Greetings,

I'm writing to offer a set of SimCity Classic boxshots and media scans and an additional screenshot relative to the screenshots already posted. My original box and media scans are at 300 dpi (~ 500x600 @72dpi), so I can provide the scanned images at alternate sizes/resolutions from what I've uploaded (72dpi) if preferred.

I wrote SimCity Classic for Maxis in 1991-92, converting the DOS version of SimCity to a Windows 3.0/3.1 version.

That involved keeping the rules code for things like power outages and tax management, some assembly code for managing intersections of roads, powerlines and such, and redeveloping all the rest for a Windows environment, including converting all the graphics to LZHUF compression format which is decompressed internally to a Windows compatible graphic format. Most definitely an adventure!

I feel happy to see the game kept alive here on AB.

As for the size of the scans: I personally prefer a size of 1500+ pixels tall. I make my own scans 2000 pixels high which ensures a good big scan with lots of detail.
