Finally, a reason not to throw out my Wii.

Had a look at the websites n stuff, and I really like the look of the remake ("special edition"!), but the telltale stuff I don't like the look of so far. Will have to wait and see.

I loved Monkey islands..can't wait to try this

It will be great to have more Monkey Island :clap: but I'm not sure about that picture of Guybrush & Elaine :max:

Guess I'll have to wait and see. :)

You can see more about both Monkey Islands on Abandonware Ring, including footage of the new games. I'm definately sold on Monkey Island Special Edition. Not so keen on the graphics for Telltale's Tales Of Monkey Island, but I'll be buying them both anyway. :3:

it's coming out for the PC too, so you can throw that Wii out.

The characters in the remake are so f*cking ugly it makes me sad : just find the haircut designer and slice him open (not to speak of the picture of Guybrush & Elaine in the original link)

And the new stuff looks awful just the same :

If you're only going to desecrate them, let the dead remain buried.

I know I sound bitter. But I didn't went from enthusiastic to disappointed this fast in a long time.
