Right now. Unreal Tournament. We could use a lan with Hamachi (That'd be easier) or we could get on an internet server. :ok:
|
huh?
Original UT? Actually now that I have a faster connection I may look to playing on the internet. |
Original Unreal Tournament was by far the best of any Unreal Tournament.
|
ah a pity that i lost my UT cd, but yes, it was best UT ever
|
Erm, will the demo work?
|
I don't think so....
All the newer UT's have been to slow-paced in my opinion. In original UT you have to keep more constantly or you die. Period. Unless of course you can get a quick snipe position set up, in which case you can take out nine or ten people before your demise. |

I agree that UT is the best of the series, but the translocator was way overpowered (they made in so you couldn't use it again for a second or so after using it last in UT2004). Anyway, I'd be happy to dig up the old UT CD and revive the old memories of team deathmatch instagib in Morpheus. |
I'm talking about deathmatch with no teleporter enabled. Good old, clean, family fun.
|
Personally I don't see any slowage in 2003 or 2004 compared to the original. All are just as great as each other as they all have one or two things that the others don't have, the original has the Razor gun and some of the best maps ever. Anyway I'm positive I have the original but I can't seem to find it I'll keep looking.
EDIT Alright I don't have it. That's not good. |
good thing bout new UT is Onslaught or Mutanat mode, thats the whole thing why have i ever played UT2004 ok, lets make a date when will we play old(new) UT |
Well I only have 2003 and 2004, but I doubt you'll want me lagging the server anyway.
|
I'll play it, which patch do I need? There are millions of extra maps, mutators etc, so that has stopped me from playing it online...
|
You should REALY try and olay with the Bullet-time-mod. The actual bullet-time can be off, but the bullets are realy nice. Gives some realism to it, and not just "instant hit" for bulletweapons.. makes sniping ALOT more fun, and harder, as you have to take distance into account :)

@Titan: That mod works for the original UT?
@everyone else: I own UT (*ahem* in a way... ), but I can't use Hamachi, so I can play only on the net. Count me in! |

They are available only in the original? :w00t: Now that's why UT 2000 r0x0r :D © :Titan:
|
I'd rather play UT 2004.
It's the best because of just one mode. Onslaught! I can play a round of Assault tho' that'd be cool, on original UT. Oh, Hamachi causes me to go major angry. |
:ot:

probably the lag..
|
Yeah, it has really bad lag (not all the time, it just has crazy spikes) but it also has a crapload of problems when it comes to actually connecting to a game. (mostly disconnections and server errors).
|
it simulates lan...it only looks like it simulates lan cause lan should work faster than your internet connection LOL
|
I haven't had any problems with it. (Hamachi that is)
You would need the 456 patch (I think that is what it is called), it is just the latest version. I wouldn't play any of the crazy levels. (I.E. Flea levels and the like) just standard original ones (This is assuming I am hosting) |
I can play. I managedf to get the full version.

I'm gonna be able to play once my friend gives me back my copy. We installed it on the school computers so we can have something to do after we finished segments on state tests (while everyone else was still working). Funny thing is that the teacher just stood over our shoulders watching :P |
