This is the coolest free games site i've seen. I can't believe I'm just finding it now. How many people use it?

AR is the sister site for games which ARE actually free, rather than abandoned, and is clearly superior (though I'm probably biased...) :)

Well I think abandonia is superior.
Fortunately everybody is allowed to have their own opinion

I like them both equally. Especially the tasteful design of both sites. But I'm probably Biased :P

if it is about the design, I like Reloaded
if it is about the games, I prefere Abandonia

I would say that Abandonia is by far superior due to the fact that there is actually real games on that site as opposed to Reloaded.

I been very disapointed by the last download from Reloaded I got. It was Hero Quest, and I been very disapointed to realise that it was only a beta. So much for enjoying the game...

I also prefer Abandonia, probably because it has many games I used to play when I was a kid...

Nevertheless, AR has great design and dedicated crew, and is getting bigger and bigger every day. Hope someday it reaches AB's status! :ok:

Also. there were a couple fun first-person shooter games I remember playing several years ago. One was Redneck Rampage, and the other you played as a Samurai (I think it was called Samurai, but I can't find anything on it, so it may have been called something else). Any predictions on if they'll ever turn up on here?

No, they aren't. Except in the rare cases when a freeware game mistakenly gets added to AB (then it won't be removed from AB, but it'll be added to AR as well). But we're trying to keep the freeware games separate.

Redneck Rampage is still being sold, I'm afraid. And even if it wasn't, it would be ESA-protected. As for the Samurai thing, I don't suppose you meant Shogun?

They actually put that one up? I told them a few times that was a beta, a few months ago. It even says plain and clear right next to the download on the game's home page. Why'd they still go ahead to update with a so obvious beta? :blink:

I personally prefer Abandonia, for personal reasons, and for it having a more extensive programming knowledgebase.

I like AB more, because of the games here, i don´t like most of the games in AR, and i like this forum, i think it is one off the wonderfuls things Ab have.

OK, once and for all... Abandonia and Abandonia Reloaded are SISTER sites, not rival sites, so I think neither should receive any kind of bashing as it creates a ridge between the two that shouldn't exist. Both AB and AR crews are doing their best to create enjoyable and informative sites so both efforts should be appreciated. Naturally both sites have their advantages and disadvantages, so it would certainly be more constructive to support the ideas of both. I will close this topic now, and if you are compelled to compare the sites in future, please try to do so without bashing / flaming. Thanks! :angel:
