Well, this question comes up sooner or later, all the time. I'm sitting here, and I have the ability to buy Worms Armageddon, or Worms World Party. I've never played these games before, but i'm familliar with their aspect (I play Scorched Earth, and Gunbound)

However which is the best? They seem the exact same when I read their reviews, except I think World Party is newer...

World Party.
It's fully XP compatible, and it's basicly just Armageddon with extra materials.
Go for Party, if you buy Armageddon you're just buying the same thing with less, which seems like it would be a waste wouldn't it?

Yeah, World Party...
It has even an Wormopedia... very educative :D and a whole new weapons, voices for your little worms, and many many many more.

Go for Worms 3D, it's a much improved singleplayer game, apart from the annoying camera of course. Of the two you mentioned, World Party is basically the same as Armageddon but with more stuff, so you may as well go for that one.

I dont know why,but I prefer good old worms 2.
Anyways,dont get any of those 3d worms,the gameplay has gone really downhill in them.(I just hope that sentence made any sense)

My opinion, but Worms 3D is flawed.
It's not even satisfying to destroy terrain anymore.

It has problems transfering to 3D (movement problems, camera problems) weapons are basic (bizarre that they didn't elaborate more) and it isn't as much fun.

The AI is much smarter though, and depending on the difficulty you said it on, they can actually be quite strategic, other than the dirt stupid AI on the previous Worms games.

Worms3D is odd.. camera movement is hard, and the 3d terrain sorta wipes out the use of some weapons..
And wheres my carpet bomb? :'(

What about Worms 2? Anything that's full 3D is utter crap.

If its a choice between worms world party and armageddon, go for World party.

Worms 3d is just an utter waste of time.

Ive never really played world party, thopugh ive seen pics and it looks awesome. does anyone know about the original worms? its not actually called worms, its called something real strange, but i played it at a friends place once and it waqs great. the characters are all sorta real small like, and they're all underground and theres MASSIVE explosions! The name sounds really random, if you no what i mean. I guess ill just have to make do with replaying worms 2 for the time being. :cry: not that its bad but yeh :ok:

Worms world party.

Scorched Earth is the grandfather of all Worms games. And it still rules :D I used to play it against 7 other people crowded on one computer, in the lab in highschool, with the projector hooked up so another 20 people were watching. And I was the only one who knew how to activate the Mag Shield bwahahhaa :D



Back on topic, there is now a Worms 4: Mayhem. Just an improvement on Worms 3D. It's still hard to control the camera, hard to aim and hard to control jumps.
The best Worms game is World Party.

Worms 1! I love that game. The whole 3D view just ruins Worms, for me. Now if I could just get my Worms CD to run under XP!!
