Did not try it out myself, but the game appears to have a password system for saving your progress in the game.

I know, but I can't get it to work! You're supposed to get to the options menu by pressing F9 (it says so at the opening screen before starting the first level), but nothing happens. Don't know if it's a bug or something, but unfortunately I was unable to access this menu - so I had to start the game from level 1 every time. If anybody figures it out - please post the answer - how!

After you sink, F10 does the trick....and don't forget to note the password for each level.

Woohoo! Great news! Thanks man - this really make the game better and more playable! :kosta:

Anybody get this to work in D-Fend (DosBox)? Please post your settings if you did ...

I've got a profile for SOS.EXE, but it's hanging after I press space after choosing the settings (no matter what settings I choose). If I run GAME.EXE, it hangs too. Currently all on the default settings, with 6000 CPU cycles. (Running in WinXP home on Althon 64 3500+ system).

Cheers!

Same thing here (3000 cycles) - in my case it helps to give it a little time (less than 1 minute) and hit space every once in a while....then, like magic, the game decides to start anyway....

Well I saw that the second screen (the big Z) must be interupted as soon as possible - so just keep pressing space when it starts apearing.

But I'm not running under D-Fend (just pure DOSBox, but it should be the same).

Toby 23-09-2005 12:02 AM

No ... can't get to the big Z screen - spent a couple of minutes pressing space bar to the black screen before giving up. Ah well.

Guest_Leovinus 23-09-2005 07:36 AM

Same here....With VDMSound it just shuts itself down immediately, with DOSBox the screen just goes black....and that's it....

I had the shareware version of this game back in the day. Its nice to see that my childhood still lives on.

hi, in case youve got a problem with some certain levels i post the level codes. (All played by myself :-). Unluckily i dont get to see the endscreen, theres some graphiacal error displayed wich i cant dissolve.

Exept from that its a fun game. Could have been more levels.

Cool - that's really helpful. I'll add those codes to the EXTRAS (you get full credit MARTIN).

Hi can anyone tell me where you got this game from? Thanks.

The game is ESA, which means you can no longer download it I'm afraid.

:ok:

Noooo - I'm searching for this game for years now... childhood memories... any idea where to buy it?

Frodo 02-02-2008 05:15 PM

With the start of the new year, is this game still ESA? :worried:

Luchsen 02-02-2008 07:29 PM

Not ESA, but it's by Zeppelin Games (original name of Eutechnyx) and so has unlimited protection. But even if it would fall under the 15-years-rule, it would not become unprotected until next year if we don't know a more exact release date (because Dec 31 1993 + 15 years = Jan 1 2009).

Frodo 02-02-2008 07:54 PM

Okay, thanks.

I was only asking. cos I would upload box scans, manual, etc otherwise.
